1. What have you done so far?

2. How does the pricing work?

Firstly, please note that all calls with advisors include an initial discovery call free of charge. This gives you a chance to discuss your challenges with them, and see if you feel they can add value. At the end of the discovery call, the advisor will submit a proposal outlining how they can help you achieve your goals.

There are several packages available;

i.

Ad hoc calls - You pay the advisor their proposed hourly fee. We do not take any money from the startup.

ii.

Monthly subscription - You pay us a low-cost monthly subscription for access to advisors who are willing to undertake free calls:

£20/month for 1 monthly call.

I.

£35/month for 2 monthly calls.

iii.

Investment feedback - You pay for a 30minute review of your startup’s investability. The fee varies and is reflective of the advisors proposed hourly fee.  

3. What is the main value you add?

Our mission is to make high-quality guidance more accessible and affordable to tech entrepreneurs. We fulfil this by ensuring that you will only speak with advisors who have real experience working with startups, and that you will have a free discovery call to ensure you’re happy with how they can add value to you.

4. Can I arrange calls with the advisor myself?

a.

There is no benefit for doing this - no money is saved and it will likely take more time out of your schedule to arrange calls.

5. How progressed does my startup need to be?

a.

You can just have an idea! The majority of startups we’ve helped tend to be in the early stages (Concept to Series A). We have many advisors available who can help companies from Series A onwards as well.

6. How do you match me to advisors?

a.

We match startups to advisors based on the following criteria;

i.

Vertical (e.g. Fintech)

ii.

Stage (e.g. Pre-Series A)

iii.

Market Type (e.g. B2B)

iv.

Areas of Expertise (e.g. Fundraising)

v.

Budget

7. Should I be concerned about telling someone else my idea?

a.

For peace of mind, all advisors on our platform agree to keep all discussions between startups strictly confidential upon sign-up.

8. Do you arrange any calls for free?

a.

All initial discovery calls are free of charge.

We are working on a model that would offer significant discounts to startups that are non-profit and social enterprise.All initial discovery calls are free of charge.

9. Can I give advisors equity?

a.

For Advisors

1. Are there any requirements to become an advisor?

a.

Yes! To be eligible, you need the following minimum requirements:

i.

5 years experience working with startups (Could be as an advisor, founder, employee etc).

ii.

3 years experience in a particular vertical, e.g. Fintech, AI, E-commerce etc…

2. How much money can I earn?

a.

You can charge whatever fee you like, up to £200/hour and can have as many calls as possible.
The most common call startups want to have is a 30 minute call to review their investability and the average price they pay for this is £50. Therefore equating to £100/hour advisory fee.
Please Note: All calls must be followed up with a brief feedback form, this takes around 5-10 mins to fill out.

3. What fee does the platform take?

a.

We take a 12% transaction fee on all paid calls.

4. How do I receive payment?

a.

We process payments using stripe. Payments will be sent to the Advisor’s nominated bank account.

5. Do I have to charge a fee?

a.

No. Around 30% of advisors on the platform don’t charge a fee. Their motivations are typically to ‘give back’ or remain active in a particular vertical / expand their knowledge.

6. How do you match me to startups?

a.

We match advisors to startups based on the following criteria;

i.

Vertical (e.g. Fintech)

ii.

Stage (e.g. Pre-Series A)

iii.

Market Type (e.g. B2B)

iv.

Areas of Expertise (e.g. Fundraising)

v.

The Startups Budget - NOTE: We will send options to startups for advisors who can help who are outside their budget if we feel they are a good match.

7. How is the call scheduled? (BOTH)

a.

We will ask you to suggest 3 time slots that work for you over the next few weeks.

b.

To reduce scheduling issues, we will be trialling the software Invite Once once our new website is live.
